Professional wrestling is not just about promos and characters but also many other things that play key roles in this business. With that being said, wrestlers also have symbols that define their characters. Depending on the gimmick, WWE has come up with different logos for each top wrestler.

Starting nearly five decades ago, WWE Superstars didn’t have such symbols in the 1980s as the company didn’t have weekly shows to go in-depth to develop their characters. But the trend started getting more popular in the 1990s when WWE embarked on their first-ever weekly wrestling show, Monday Night RAW. As wrestlers would get more chances with TV time and character development, Vince McMahon started to introduce more versatile characters in this phase and symbols became an essential part of a character.  From Golden Era, Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era to the current product, WWE’s symbols are very common. Even when a Superstar wins a title, the wrestlers’ logo gets entrenched in a particular belt to signify its importance.

Randy Orton has been the part of WWE for nearly two decades, attaining all required titles and winning every major title to become a Grand Slam Champion. He is still a full-time member of the the red brand’s roster and wrestles every single week. Although there have been many versions of Orton, his Viper one is certainly the famous one. His is one of the known logos of Superstars. Randy Orton’s sign is a viper with RKO written on it. While The Viper is his nickname, RKO is his finishing move, which is also one of the popular finishing moves in WWE history.

He was a tag-team specialist while wrestling in the Attitude Era, but his singles career bloomed in the Ruthless Aggression Era, and he ended up being a massive draw. Hulk Hogan was one of the first WWE Superstars who made the symbols popular, considering how popular he was in his heyday. The fans connected with his character more due to his symbol called ‘Hulkmania’, which was inspired by WrestleMania. Hogan was the megastar of his era, and his ‘Hulkamania’ symbol sold millions of merchandise. Even today, the ‘Hulkamania’ symbol is widely popular. Whenever Hulk Hogan makes an appearance in WWE, he wears the red iconic t-shirt.

# 5 Brock Lesnar: Demonic Skull

Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut in 2002 but after a two-year run, he left the company. After success in UFC, The Beast Incarnate returned to WWE. Since 2012, Lesnar has been an internal part of the company as a part-time performer. Right after his debut in his younger days, he was given the crown ‘The Next Big Thing’, and ‘The Beast Incarnate’, owing to his superhuman power, imposing physique, and great look. Lesnar’s symbol is a demonic skull, which is also visible in his merchandise. Brock Lesnar’s back tattoo is identical to his WWE logo.

When we talk about some popular factions in WWE, DX should be at the top because at its peak, there was no one better than D-Generation X. Perhaps WCW’s nWo was their only close competitor in terms of popularity. With such success of DX, from their logos to merchandise, everything was widely famous. D-Generation X’s symbol is designed after the name of the stable, DX. The green logo with a black background certainly appealing, even among the fans of the current generation.

The Rock Vs Stone Cold was possibly the greatest feud in history. From The Rock’s catchphrases to The Rock’s promos, everything was unique about his character. His nickname was the Brahma Bull. With his bull tattoo, his symbol was also a bull, which became well-known even in the non-wrestling world.

With a thirty years long prosperous WWE career, The Undertaker built a legacy like no other. Considered by many the greatest of all time, The Phenom had some different gimmicks in different eras. From The Deadman, The Ministry of Darkness to The American Badass, Undertaker nicknames and characters were extremely over. The Undertaker logo was a ‘T’ sign with a cross in between them. The ‘T’ in that symbol stands for Taker in Undertaker’s name. Being such a dark persona, Undertaker even used the real structure of his symbol to crucify his opponent. For instance, Undertaker crucified Stone Cold Steve Austin on WWE RAW, and he attempted to same to Stephanie McMahon.
