The Bloodline has already been established as one of the dominating groups ever led by Roman Reigns. But the dissonance between the family stable began a couple of months ago, with Jimmy Uso trying to rebel against Roman Reigns. Jey also joined the party to start the civil war, which culminated at MITB last year.
Roman Reigns Got Pinned For The First time In Three And Half Years
With the Tribal Chief character, Roman Reigns looked undefeated in his ‘god mode’, well, until the main event of Money in the Bank 2023. The impossible thing happened at the end of the Bloodline Civil War tag team match when The Usos showed exceptional teamwork.
After a bunch of Superkicks, Jey Uso delivered a frog splash from the top rope to pin Roman Reigns, ending his record of not getting pinned for over three years. The last man to pin Roman Reigns was Baron Corbin, who faced the former in a feud back in 2019-2020. The pin in the tag team match is going to shake the confidence of the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and the same could happen in a singles match shortly.
The Main Event Of The PPV
Despite the men’s Money in the Bank and women’s Money in the Bank match, the Bloodline Civil War tag team match was in the main event of the show. The match was incredible, probably one of the best tag team matches in recent years. The London crowd was loud and always behind The Usos.

In the beginning, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa dominated the match by annihilating the twin brothers. But gradually Jey and Jimmy started showing signs of coming back, and their years of experience as a tag team proved to be beneficial for the team. Their excellent teamwork curbed Roman Reigns. Also, The Usos, especially Jey Uso, showed grit and determination by not giving up.
Jey took a number of Spears from Roman Reigns, but the latter ended up in disbelief whenever the former kicked out. At one point, even the wise man Paul Heyman looked helpless by saying what they need to do to pin The Usos successfully, having tried all the weapons in their arsenals.
What’s Next In The Bloodline Civil War Storyline?
SummerSlam 2023 is scheduled to take place in Detriot, which is just a month away. The biggest party of the Summer hosts some of the biggest matches. After Jey pinned Roman at Money in the Bank 2023, he could be the next contender for the Championship. With just a month left and the Bloodline storyline being the hot topic in WWE right now, it’s improbable to see any other opponent for Roman Reigns other than Jey Uso. While Jimmy could be another option, Jey is more over and his feud with Roman has been more personal to make him a credible challenger for his cousin.
