4 Premier League Teams Who Could End Up In Top Four, Of 2020-21 Premier League

It’s February and more than half of the season of the English Premier League has been completed. All teams of the league have already played more than twenty games, but still, a long way to go before the season ends.

This season has witnessed a couple of surprises in the Premier League, with many underrated teams doing well to be in the first half of the league table. On the other hand, some heavyweight teams have shockingly underperformed to be way out out of the top four of the Premier League table. For instance, Tottenham are struggling in the mid-table despite a solid start of the season. The scenario is the same for the former league winners like Chelsea and Arsenal. But David Moyes’s West Ham have been a dark horse this year, and they have been in the top six of the table for a while with some awe-inspiring performances in the field.

So who could end up being in the top 4 of the table this season? Let’s predict.

#4 Leicester City

Leicester City narrowly missed the top four last season in the last week of the Premier League when Manchester United secured a victory to replace the Foxes. The Brandon Rodgers coached side has done a commendable job this season as well, and they have been consistently in the top four. Although they lack consistency this season, they still have the quality to make it to the last four. Their star striker Jamie Vardy has already amassed 11 goals this season, and he will be hoping to take the tally to 20 if Leicester want to be in the top four this year.

#3 Manchester United

Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes, Edison Cavani

Manchester United have looked promising as the challenger of the Premier League title this season. In fact, they also topped the table in the midseason for the first time since the Alex Ferguson Era, but a shocking defeat against the bottom place Sheffield United pulled them back to the second position. United have built a star-studded squad this season. Besides Bruno Fernandes, who has been changed the fate of the Red Devils since arriving, Edison Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire have been sensational. Moreover, Luke Shaw is playing the best football of his Manchester United career this season. The Red Devils could certainly end up being at the top or finish as a runner up, but it is still unlikely. They need to be more consistent to dethrone Manchester City from the top. Also, Martial, their primary striker, needs to find the net more often. United is possibly going to finish at the third spot, which was their position in the table last season as well.

#2 Liverpool

Liverpool are the holders of the EPL title, winning it for the first time in thirty years last season. However, they are having a subpar current season because they haven’t been at the best in the past few fixtures. As a matter of fact, out of the last five Liverpool fixtures two have ended in defeats for the reds, which shows their inconsistency this season. Despite their turbulent journey this season, they are still in the top four now, sitting four points away from arch-rival, Manchester United. Once they resolve their defensive issue with the arrival of Virgil Van Dijk, they are likely to be back on track that might put them at the second spot at the end of the season.

#1 Manchester City

Manchester City have been invincible this season in Premier League, especially in the past few matches. While they were shaky at the start of the season, the blues have gradually improved to find consistency. Pep Guardiola has been at his best this season tactically even without the key striker, Sergio Aguero for the majority of the season. The Blue team of Manchester have been unbeaten for the last ten league games, which has taken them to the top of the EPL table. If they keep playing like this, they are likely to be inevitable winners this season.
