Last Updated on April 4, 2024 by Avik Das

WWE is a place where some of the greatest giants and big muscular men have stepped foot to entertain the audience. The likes of Andre the Giant, Big Show, The Great Khali, The Undertaker, etc. are some monstrous giants we talk about. While having physical superiority helps you get a long way, especially considering Vince McMahon’s notorious habit of pushing big and well-built Superstars, there have been many wrestlers with smaller statures as well.

Generally, small and short wrestlers are high-flyers since they don’t carry much body weight. Despite their size disadvantage, many short wrestlers went on to have spectacular careers. Besides winning mid-card or tag-team titles, a world title wasn’t also a far-fetched dream for smaller-sized wrestlers. In this article, we take a look at such wrestlers from the men’s division to ever grace the squared circle of WWE.

#10 Akira Towaza (5’7″)

Akira Towaza is presently signed to WWE.  Since he is presently employed by the company,  it makes him one of the smallest men on the roster today. The Japanese superstar is a former Cruiserweight Champion.  Later on, he was largely in the 24/7 Championship picture, chasing the title and delivering some of the funniest moments in recent years. Akira Towaza’s height is five feet and seven inches. While there have been many wrestlers with that same height, his muscle mass is far less compared to other wrestlers with a similar height. His weight floats around only 150 pounds.

#9 Dragon Lee (5’7″)

Dragon Lee has been in the limelight nowadays for showcasing his proficiency as a high flyer in WWE.  The luchador from Mexico is extremely talented and has already given some brilliant matches in NXT.  Even though he has yet to win a gold in WWE, his in-ring prowess has raised the standard of high-flying wrestling within WWE. Standing at 5 feet and seven inches,  Dragon Lee is short.

#8 Sin Cara ( 5’7″)

Sin Cara, another famous Luchador from WWE, had touched great heights in his ten-year-long WWE career.  From 2009 to 2019, Sin Cara gave some top-quality matches against different types of opponents. The early 2010s was his peak time when he regularly featured on TV.  Sin Cara’s only title triumph was claiming the NXT Tag Team Championship. As a high-flying Luchador, Sin Cara stood at only five feet and seven inches.

#7 Rey Mysterio (5’6″)

Rey Mysterio’s Hall of Fame-worth career in WWE makes him one of the greatest of all time. He played an integral in popularizing the ‘Lucha Libre’ style of wrestling to the mainstream world of WWE. From the WWE Title, Intercontinental Title, and US Title to the Tag Team Titles, Rey Mysterio conquered everything in WWE to receive the honor of a Grand Slam Champion. In addition, he is a Royal Rumble winner, holding a record of lasting over an hour. Rey Mysterio was the first among the shortest WWE wrestlers to get significant main event status, breaking the barrier of big men’s domination in the industry. The WWE Hall of Famer’s height is only five feet and six inches. His height was never a big hurdle while taking out big men.

#6 Kalisto (5’6″)

Kalisto was deemed the next Rey Mysterio by many fans and experts, following his singles push in the mid the mid-2010s. Upon getting promoted to the main roster, his most memorable rivalries were with Alberto Del Rio, Ryback, and Rusev, primarily with the United States Championship on the line. Kalisto was a two-time US Championship, with one title reign lasting an impressive 119 days, making it his most significant accomplishment in his WWE career. The agile and high-flying Luchador was one of the smallest stars on the roster during his time in WWE. With a height of just five feet and six inches, Kalisto weighed barely 170 pounds.

#5 Lio Rush (5’6″)

With a similar height as Rey Mysterio and Kalisto, Lio Rush gets a place in the list. Regardless of his WWE career of three years, Lio Rush left a mark with his talent and charisma. Lio Rush created a WWE record by becoming the youngest-ever WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion, capturing the gold at the age of 25. However,  he was known for his alliance with Bobby Lashley on RAW, where he was the latter’s manager and mouthpiece. The heel duo did an exceptional job of receiving heat from the audience. Being only five feet and six inches, the size difference between Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush was visibly understandable on television.

#4 Drake Maverick (5’4″)

At just five feet and four inches, Drake Maverick wasn’t seen as a major star. Nevertheless, he was a great entertainer, and he gave some hilarious comedy skits, especially during his 24/7 Championship storyline with R-Truth.  Before getting signed by WWE,  Drake Maverick had years of experience in the indies and TNA. Given his decades of experience and understanding of the business, he currently works for WWE as a creative member.
