WWE Championship is the most prestigious title in the world of professional wrestling for several reasons. First, it is the primary world title of WWE, which is the leading wrestling company in the world for decades. Secondly, the title has a long history. Established in 1963, the WWE Championship belt’s history is incredible, and it has been active for nearly six decades. Over the past years and decades, many top Superstars have won the WWE Championship in the main events of big pay-per-views.

After winning the WWE Championship, a WWE Superstar automatically gets the main event status because the main event storylines and matches take place with the WWE Championship belt on the line. John Cena is recognized as the most winner of the WWE Championship. He has captured the World Title a record 16 times in his career. Ric Flair is also recognized for the same, but he hasn’t done it under the WWE banner. Many wrestlers have become WWE Champions not just in one decade but also in three different decades to write their names in history.
